Our program promotes healthy relationships among families. Program participation includes an Interactive Parents Weekend at Stoweflake Resort. Where parents will;

• Learn relationship skills in workshops
• Participation in fun activities
• Connect with other parents
• Enjoy the amenities at Stoweflake!

Important:

VFM is not an adequate resource for families experiencing domestic violence, as all such couples must go through a screening process for domestic violence prior to enrolling in the program.

No family or child will be discriminated against because of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or marital status.  

Mission Statement

Vermont Family Matters (VFM) is a statewide collaboration of Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The overarching goal of VFM is to provide families with the resources and tools they need to strengthen their relationships and create positive, nurturing environments for their children.

Our Participants

Vermont Family Matters is a voluntary program offered to all VT families with children ages birth through five who meet Head Start income guidelines. There are a limited number of openings to community members who meet these guidelines but are not enrolled in Head Start. We serve all types of families including, but not limited to: single or co-parenting individuals, married couples, blended families, couples in a civil union and couples considering marriage.
